4th Grade - Matt Janilus

5th Grade Blue -  Mikal Lundy

  • Over 10 years of high school coaching experience
  • Volunteer recreation coach for several sports.
  • Currently works and coaches football at Moorestown High School. 
  • Head Coach of the Special Olympics Unified Basketball team at Moorestown. 
  • Specializes in fundamental skill development for young athletes.   Provides off season sport specific training in basketball and football for athletes ages 5-18 years old.  Former 3 sport high school athlete and Division I college football player. 
  • Posesses undergraduate degree from Towson University
  • Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary.

    • Transferred to University of Maryland Eastern Shore
    • #2 Scorer as a junior 14.3 ppg
    • ESPN top 10 Play Performer

6th Grade Grey– Coach Tony Briscoe

7th Grade – Coach Kenny Avent

  • High School Career
    • Coach Avent attended High Point High School in Maryland. 
    • He was a 4-year Varsity player and further developed under the guidance of the legendary coach, Ernie Welch. 
    • While at High Point, Coach Avent helped lead his team to 4 League Championships, 3 Regional Championships, and a State Championship.  
    • Coach Avent received 2-time All-Met and All-State honors as well. 
    • As a Senior, Coach Avent was named Prince George's County and Prince George's Journal Player Of The Year. 
    • Twenty years later, Coach Avent still holds the distinction of all-time leader in scoring and rebounding at High Point.  
  • College Career
    • Coach Avent was heavily recruited by Division-1 colleges such as University of Maryland, Georgetown, and Duke Universities, Kevin Eastman (current L.A. Clippers Assistant, and former director of the Nike Skills Academy) eventually convinced Coach Avent to join him at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. 
    • Coach Avent played Point Guard, Shooting Guard, and Small Forward at UNCW
  • Professional Career
    • After leaving UNCW, Coach Avent joined the National Rookie League (NRL) and won the championship in 2000 with the Washington Justice. 
    • Next Coach Avent played professionally on the International level in Argentina, Canada, and France.
  • Coaching Career
    • Coach Avent became the Head Coach of the Woodbury High School boys basketball team, and led his team to Colonial Conferences Championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and Group 1 South Jersey Championships in 2009 and 2010. 
    • Coach Avent was named the Gloucester County Times Coach of the Year in 2009.  
    • In 2014, Coach Avent took over as Head Coach of the Delcastle (DE) Vo-Technical High School boys basketball team.  
      • He led the team to the playoffs in his first season as Head Coach, and took a major step forward by leading the 2015 team to the semi-finals of the Delaware Boys State Basketball Tournament.
    • The crowning jewel of Coach Avent's Head Coaching career so far, is leading the New Jersey Thunder of the APBL (American Professional Basketball League) in back to back championships, in 2015 and 2016!
    • A USBA Gold Certified Coach
    • Coach Avent is also a FIBA (Federation of International Basketball Association) Certified Licensed Coach and a member of the WABC (World Association of Basketball Coaches) where all activities are endorsed by and organized through FIBA. 7th 

 

7th Grade – Terrence Rice

  • High School Career
    • Two Year Starter for Lenape High School
    • Had offers to continue playing but elected education
  • Coaching Career
    • Has Trained players for 8 years
    • Coached AAU Basketball for the past 4 years

8th Grade Blue – Keith Brown

8th Grade - Mike Rose

9th Grade Blue - Coach Andre Green

  • Graduated from Bloomfield College with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.
  • Played 4 years of NCAA division 2 basketball under coach Gerald Holmes at Bloomfield. Andre Green was apart the best team in school history in 2011, when Bloomfield advance to the NCAA division 2 elite 8.
  • Started a AAU program that was based on developing the overall skills of South Jersey Youth.
  • Assistant Coach at Cumberland County College before joining the Kings Unlimited program. 

10th Grade – Jermaine Rhodes

  • High School Career
    • Self-taught player
    • Played Varsity for 2 years
  • Post High School
    • Played basketball in the Navy overseas for several years
  • Coaching Career
    • USBA Certified Gold Coach
    • Began coaching in Willingboro Rec League where he won a championship
    • Coached in the South Jersey Travel Leagues where he fielded Championship teams.
    • Coached AAU for the last 5 years.  He won several championships
    • Coaching Highlights:
      • 2013 Willingboro Rec Championship
      • 2014 & 2015 South Jersey Travel Championship
      • 2016 Division III AAU National Championship
      • 2017 Division III AAU Nationals Runners-Up
      • 2018 Division III AAU Nationals Classic Bracket Championship

 

11th Grade – Coach Pete Bacote

  • High School Career
    • Attended Hampton High School (Hampton, VA)
    • Team went 52-9 in two years
    • State Champion in junior year
    • State runners-up my senior year
    • Avg 11ppg while shooting 61% from the 3 point line
  • College Career
    • Turned down several smaller schools to walk onto Temple University
